LUCKY DETTY, Director of Reconciliation

ldetty@elevatecolumbia.org

On Easter Sunday of 2011, Lucky entered a residential rehabilitation facility that focused on drug and alcohol addiction. This was merely the beginning of an amazing and difficult transformational journey that has forever changed his life. Through the grace of God, he has been celebrating recovery since that Easter morning, no longer relying on a substance but rather on God.

While in the residential program, Lucky’s leadership skills, work ethic and commitment to Christ were recognized and rewarded with a promotion to house manager and learning center coordinator. Lucky’s previous professional experience includes owning his own construction and remodeling business, Artisan Woodworks, supervising the facilities department at Columbia International University, and managing a 67-unit townhome complex.

In August of 2016, Lucky accepted the role as Director of Reconciliation Ministries, through which he is pursuing his passion of providing hope and discipleship opportunities to individuals struggling with their hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Lucky is trained as a Certified Peer Support Specialist and is currently studying to obtain a degree in Christian ministry with a minor in family ministry from Northwest Nazarene University.

TREVOR MOSLEY, Program Manager

tmosley@elevatecolumbia.org

Growing up Trevor suffered from severe drug addiction and suicidal depression. Facing 7-15 years in prison for many crimes, Trevor’s family sent him to a 15-month program called Teen Challenge. It was there that Trevor accepted Jesus into his heart and first experienced freedom, peace and joy.

Trevor graduated from Teen Challenge and responded to the call of God on his life. He joined the staff team, became ordained, and was then promoted to the program director of Brockton Teen Challenge. For over twelve years, he pioneered and consulted eight programs in the United States and seven internationally.

Trevor created numerous employment opportunities for residents in the program, organized strategic funding opportunities for Teen Challenge, and specialized in providing discipleship opportunities  within the program. In 2012, Trevor was called to Columbia, SC to help start and run a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. Trevor’s heart longs for men and women to be free of addiction and he is excited to begin this new journey with Elevate Columbia and Reconciliation Ministries.
